Welcome to Household, a large abandoned House filled with littlings inspired by Little Folk from European folklore. 97 years ago, the Master mysteriously disappeared, and the years since have been filled with conflict. Only in the past few years were the folk united against a common enemy and attempt to reach peace after decades of loss and conflict, and the rooms may be traversed by all littlings. Household is a system of telling a story, writing a history together of the things that unfolded during the period that would come to be known as the Fragile Peace. A legendary diary containing the lost research of Argo the Bureaucrat—who dedicated his life to mastering the power of Contracts—has resurfaced. After his mysterious disappearance, rumors spread that his findings were recorded in a hidden manuscript. Many littlings, including Professor Teampall and librarian Gwen, sought these secrets. When Teampall passed away, Gwen received a package at the Wallford Piping Station: a single wax-sealed page from Argo’s diary, inscribed in an unreadable language. A letter from Teampall accompanied it, urging her to seek Professor Flanagan in Chesterfield by-the-fire, hoping she might succeed where others had failed.
