The Bookworm Battle

The ghoul don of the Brotherhood of Books has approached you with a discrete offer: Secure the safe passage of a cache of precious books to the vaults across the Desert of the Real, and he shall facilitate your passage back into the world of the living. The problem? His rivals in the Cult of Knowledge have taken a very keen interest in obtaining said books for themselves. And at their disposal are all the most wicked creatures available for hire in the Dreamlands...

The Dreamlands are a vast dimension built by the subconscious desires of the creatures in the living world. You are ordinary humans from the physical world, having been lost in the Dreamlands for quite some time. This chance to return to the place you once called home might be too good to pass up on.
