Otsuka Game Day 66: Not quite the Beast
Welcome to the biggest and best day of tabletop RPG gaming in the heart of Tokyo - roll dice, try out new games and make fantastic memories.
As always, we’re looking for volunteer GMs to run sessions. Just click on one of the open game slots and submit - one of the organizers will be approving the game shortly.
Otsuka Game Day is a great opportunity to play some one-shots sessions, join a mini campaign and make some like-minded friends!
Yes, beginners are welcome to attend. On the day of the event, if you are signed up for a game but don’t know where it is, just walk up to the 3rd floor of Titans and ask someone with dice to point you in the right direction. Let the dice be thy guide!
HOW THE GAME DAY WORKS
For our fine playing folks, stay tuned for these entries coming up and pick your games. You can find an overview of the games on Meetup, but actual game signups are handled on the TRS event system mentioned above.
To join an actual game, follow the 3 easy steps below:
CHECK - Check the games for one with an opening.
ATTEND - Find a game with an opening and click “Join”. Don’t forget to also click “Attend” on the Meetup event page (it helps with the algorithm!). You will be automatically signed up on our event system. If there are no games with an opening, get on a waiting list and hope for the best. Then show up on Saturday ready to roll dice or just drink as the gods decide your fate.
CONTACT - If you’re going to be late or have a question about the game you’re attending, then directly message the GM of the game you’re signed up for or post a message on their game page.
Please support the venue by ordering food and drink - both are also seriously delicious and highly recommended.

Otsuka RPG Day July 25 2026
MothershipJovian Moon Base - Callisto, 22nd Century AD: Tensions have arisen between the conglomerate of Earth's leading corporations that funded the base and the mining collective tasked with operating it. The miners feel like they have been shafted and protests have erupted, strikes been called, and contracts broken. Private security forces have been dispatched to regain control of the situation. This is a game about the horror of capitalism - and other minor horrors - in space. You will take on the roles of union members and/or corporate trying to arrive at a compromise that works for both sides.
Songbirds
AkiScenario introduction: Your gang of songbirds journeyed to the Third of the Seventeen True Mountains of the realm to participate in a ritual of Emerald purification under the conditions of the full moon. Upon completion, you stay for a while in the mountain temple-village, resting and planning your next move. As your planned day of departure draws near, the town watch delivers dire news: from the north, a regiment of the Sun King Enhanced Mobile Calvary marches up the mountain. From the south, a squad of the Queen’s Psychonauts. The only way you see out of the mountains is through. The villagers and monks grow anxious, moving around in seemingly irrational ways. Within the mountain, something seems to stir. How will you get out of this one? Game system intro: Once upon a time, two gods lived together in our sky: the god of love and the god of death. Two great and powerful foxes who danced as one. Until one day, in a fit of jealous rage, the god of love was killed and fell from the sky. Now there is but one god. Our sorrowful and tired god who sleeps inside the moon. The dead rise and wander under her crescent glow. Ghosts remain where flesh once was. Bones refuse to settle. Spirits twist and churn into beasts, destroying all in their path, seeking an end to their suffering. No one prays, for they fear what shall happen when she wakes. Sometimes those that die return intact. Chosen by Love, some clamor. Cursed by Death, bemoan others. They are changed strange by their liminality. Mutated. Made supernatural. Gifted with otherworldly power. They are the canary in the coal mine of the moon’s nightmare. The only hope for a spirit to join the moon in her slumber. Songbirds. You have died and risen again as a Songbird. Soon you find yourself among kindred company, but your band of Songbirds is no ordinary one, and you are fated to have your destinies deeply entwined with those of Queens and Kings and The Moon. About the session The game returns so i guess it is actually an open table game of Songbirds! This time is more of a sandpit scenario, so come ready for creative problem solving and roleplaying! Returners and new players welcome. As an open table game there is a persistent story and world across sessions but each session is self-enclosed as a oneshot. We will be building characters at the table. Bring your polyhedrals and a pencil and eraser! I’ll have extra in case you need anything of course.

Exalted 3eGame Lore Long ago, the gods made war against ancient monsters who forged the world. They chose as their champions mortals, and through the gift of Exaltation uplifted these heroes with divine power. The goddess of the moon made the Lunar Exalted, who could take the forms of beasts. The five Maidens of the stars made the Sidereal Exalted, who could compel destiny. The world-dragons made Dragon-Blooded heroes with elemental power, weaker individually than their peers but manifold. The Unconquered Sun, King of Heaven, made the mighty and righteous Solar Exalted. And the smaller gods of Creation — of river, road, or forest; love, war, or birdsong — made champions called Exigents, each one a singular miracle birthed in flame. Session Description In this session you will play as band of Exigents seeking some leisure and opportunity. Preparations are underway for the Three Banners Festival, an annual week-long event of brightly adorned street parades and raucous games in celebration of the anniversary of Great Forks’ founding. Each received a letter requesting assistance from Blue Murmur, a lesser but well-connected god of rumors, who offered each Exigent something in return for their help. However, the group cannot shake this bizarre feeling of unease, as if the gods are trying to tell you something. Can the god of rumors be trusted to keep his word? Or are the Exigents heading into the trap set by the Dragonblooded eager to keep their rule over Creation unchallenged? Game Description and What to Bring 10-sided dice and a vivid imagination. Exalted puts you in control of beings of immense power able to shape the world around them to their whim. The question in most games are "what are the consequences of failure." In Exalted that question is flipped "What are the consequences of your success?" Exalted magic grants players more control over the narrative than in other games; they’re often strong enough to simply fight their way through any problems they face, and charismatic enough to bend others to their goals. What makes things interesting is that they are not the only Exalted around. Far from it. Your actions could attract the attention of a much more powerful being who also wants to bend Creation to his will.
Tokyo :Otherscape
KevinMThe people of the Megacity of Tokyo have long been on the cutting edge, while at the same time remaining connected to their mythology and history. But as the city progresses, many things are left behind and discarded - but they aren't all willing to go quietly. Welcome to the world of :Otherscape, where ancient myths have pervaded the cyberpunk landscape of a dystopian near future. The game is a Powered by the Apocalypse narrative-heavy system, where players create 'tags' describing their character instead of stats, which they can then use when rolling (having more relevant tags to your roll = bigger bonus, essentially). Characters will be generated at the table using a variant quick-start generation rule (answering questions to decide your tags); all you will need is an idea of what kind of mythological or legendary trope you want your character to be influenced by (specific like Robin Hood, Miyamoto Musashi, Tiamat, the Oracle of Delphi, or vague like a poltergeist, jazz music, etc.), some six-sided dice, something to write with, and enough grit to survive rebelling against the system.
Age of Sigmar SoulboundAge of Sigmar: Soulbound is a tabletop roleplaying game set in the Warhammer Age of Sigmar universe. As Sigmar’s Storm broke upon the hordes of Chaos, a flicker of hope was rekindled in the people of the Mortal Realms. The seeds of civilisation were planted and grew into new bastions of Order, and for a moment it almost seemed the endless tide of darkness could be held back. But then came the Necroquake, as the undead legions of Nagash rose up to shatter the cities of Sigmar. Hope dwindles and once more darkness threatens to engulf the Mortal Realms… In Age of Sigmar: Soulbound, you take on the role of Soulbound — powerful heroes whose actions will shape the future of the Mortal Realms. The Soulbound are an ancient order dating back to the Age of Myth. As the Mortal Realms descended into the Age of Chaos, the Soulbound faded into memory. Now, in a time of utmost need, Sigmar has called on the other gods to join together and resurrect the lost order. Only a few answered the God-King’s call, and now the Soulbound once more walk the Mortal Realms. To be Soulbound is to have your essence entwined with others, binding your souls together. Those that do are bound together, their souls linking to create a powerful tether or conduit that allows them to draw upon each other’s essence, protecting them from the servants of Nagash, the God of Death.
