Isles of Agony | A Ravenloft Horror Mystery | Level 5

Deep within the frozen land of Lamordia lies the Isles of Agony, a place feared by sailors and surrounded by strange stories. Hired by the brilliant but unsettling Dr. Viktra Mordenheim, your party must recover a mysterious invention said to have been stolen by a dangerous monster. As you explore icy shores, investigate the remains of a shipwreck, and encounter bizarre creatures unlike anything you've seen before, you'll soon discover that nothing on these islands is as simple as it first appears.

This one-shot adventure uses content from the recently released Ravenloft: The Horrors Within supplement. Which also includes 7 new sub-classes. We will use Discord and D&D Beyond to plan the session and create/choose characters. The following pre-generated characters are available.

4. Lupin Ranger (Hollow Warden)
5. Dhampir Rogue (Phantom)

Character Creation

D&D 2024 updates are in effect as per the backwards compatibility guidelines. (No 3rd party or homebrew content).

Race/Species: All allowed.

Class: All allowed. Multi-classing is also allowed. (2024 classes only. This can still include sub-classes from 2014.)

Background: A background includes the following:

(1) Ability Scores. A background lists three of your character’s ability scores. Increase one by 2 and another one by 1, or increase all three by 1. None of these increases can raise a score above 20.

(2) Feat. A background gives your character a specified Origin feat.

(3) Skill Proficiencies. A background gives your character proficiency in two specified skills.
